“Your voice is there for a reason, So don’t be afraid to use it.” – Elyse Knowles

Finding my way…

Welcome to my blog! My name is Millie an aspiring writer to be. For those who don’t know me let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born on December 3rd 1999 in Auckland, New Zealand to my beautiful parents Sarah & Steve. When i was 18 months old, my parents decided to moved to Sydney Australia. Although still not citizens… I most defiantly call it home.

Now 19 years old I have embarked on my own little journey moving down to Wollongong to study a Bachelor of Media and Communications. Moving away from home is tough. It’s even tougher when you were raised by a mum like mine. Compassionate, hardworking, loving and supportive are just a few words that describe her. Aside from my admiration of my mother, I have many other things that I love. I feel my best when I’m outdoors. Whether that be running, walking or reading a book in the park that is when I’m at my utmost happiness. Ask anyone, when i smile its CONTAGIOUS. This is a time where I can switch my phone off and escape the world for a couple of hours and focus on just ME. This is so important, which is why I want to discuss in further detail how the media affects our wellbeing. This won’t be the only topic I’ll cover but i hope it gives you a little taste of what my blog will be about.

Introvert at heart, I’m hoping that my blog will be a place where I can reveal my thoughts, ideas and discuss topics that I can have my own personal twist on. I hope to produce content that you love but be patient with me I’m still trying to figure out my own voice.

Millie xx
