Since we launched our pitched, we have seen a major progress of our digital artefact. We have noticed and payed attention to areas which need improvement, and have resultantly made significant changes. Over time we have realised our strengths and weaknesses which has allowed our company to develop majorly.


We based our project on a variety of social media platforms eg Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, however we have realised that we have not gained attention or activity on facebook or twitter.

We have decided to base our digital artefacts on Instagram and reddit as a result of this. Instagram is our main platform used to promote our company, where as we are using reddit to research and gain inspiration. This enables us to focus our time and effort on minimal accounts, which will benefit us in the long run.


Reddit has been very useful as it has provided a scientific background on the nutritional value of foods. This was vital for us to touch base on, as we wanted to provide reliable and truly healthy meals to our viewers. This has built trust between our company and our audience.
We have also increased our activity on these platforms by posting regularly, updating our accounts, informing our viewers and consumers, and providing interesting feed. We have also worked on creating a unique style on our Instagram to form an identity that is recognisable to our viewers.
We also shifted out Instagram account from personal to business which allowed us to gain data and analyse our account statistically eg seeing how many people visited our site each week. Through this change, we were able to notice a dramatic increase in followers as a result of our increased activity

We have begun to use hashtags to spread awareness of our company and build relationships with other health food accounts, whilst simultaneously gaining more followers. Our audience has evidently expanded, which is shown through the comment by a food blogger ‘fit life line’ who said, ‘looks fantastic, definitely tastes delicious:) I invite you to my profile, I try to show healthy and tasty meals’. This also provided inspiration as we gained ideas on healthy meals to create.

For future improvement, we aim to create easy snack recipes and more simple 5 ingredient dishes. This will hopefully see an increased engagement with the viewers, as we have noticed our audience is restricted for time in a Uni environment. We also aim to do ‘life hacks’ and to further increase our activity online.
